Story TimeThis week we continue with our Pond Theme and will be reading "Jump Frog Jump," a cute book about a frog who uses jumping to escape from getting caught. There are lots of great positional words in the story: over, under, in, on, etc. This book also uses sequence and repetition... after your reader has heard the story a few times, see if they can tell you what happened first, next, and last! Songs and MovementHere are some pond songs about frogs and other animals. Your kiddos will probably recognize "Five Little Speckled Frogs!" There are several versions below. It's a fun song for counting, so hold up those fingers and practice counting down from 5 to 1. Or, pretend to be a goldfish and "swim" around your house!
